In Ancient times, demon called Andhakasur was born with the sweat of Lord Shiva, and was booned from Barhma that no one can defeat him. As the demon rose the powers and started conquering the Devtas,then Lord Shiva used Pashupat-Astra this colandered the demon but more of his aides were born of the droplets of his blood. Lord Vishnu created step mothers to tipple down the blood of these aides.One of these was named as Shushka Revati,who eventually sucked the blood of aides.The then Lord Brahma asked all the Devtas to attack Andhakasur who was then defeated and dugged in the Earth and these Devtas reside on his body.

Now because of the boon given by Lord Brahma,this demon got the right to be blest and was declared that all construction work on Earth will only be successful when this demon will be made comfortable by proper sacrifices and offering.Later the demon was named as “Vaastu Purush”
